Hmm... I guess I should give this journal thing a try. Well, as many of you may know, I've been stationed over here in South Korea for about 15 months now. I just found out last week that I'm getting discharged from the service. I don't really have a problem with it at this point. Being in the military hasn't exactly been sugar drops and rainbows, for me. I've been getting real homesick, lately, so I hope they hurry up and process the paperwork. The sooner I can get out of here and back to my family, the better. My little brother is growing up too fast, and I'm not there to see it.

I recently broke up with my girlfriend. I didn't really want to, but I had to. I'm too much of a philanderer to hold a relationship. I don't want to hurt her with my wanton ways, so I broke it off. I don't know what will come of this, but I'm sure I did the right thing. Many people may see that as a selfish thing, but believe me, I most certainly did not do it for selfish reasons. I love her, and want her to be happy. We're on opposite sides of the globe, and I am not a good boyfriend. She can find someone much better than me, who can actually be there for her.

... I can't really think of any major, positive things that have happened to me. I'm wracking my brain trying to think of just one. Umm... I guess I'm still alive. That's something, right?
